His calm presence, deep respect for culture, and unwavering love for the wild and nature shapes the core of Wind and Wild’s values. Chamil Bandara
A bold strategist and passionate cultural influencer, Chamil’s heart beats for rural Sri Lankan culture. Whether he’s guiding a group through a rainforest or crafting a community partnership, his purpose is the same: build bridges between travelers and locals
Dammithra Samarasinghe
Dhamithra is a seasoned naturalist and wildlife researcher with over 25 years of experience in ecological fieldwork and wildlife tourism. With a strong focus on avian ecology and conservation, he leads immersive nature walks and birdwatching experiences that promote responsible ecotourism. An exceptional scout with deep knowledge of the wild, he brings invaluable insight to every journey. Dhamithra now oversees our operations, guiding the business with his extensive expertise in tourism and nature-based travel.
Together, they guide a growing team of locals — storytellers, nature guides, artisans, and healers — who are ready to welcome you like family.
